SLEEP OUT: Executive Edition - Black Women Lead x Covenant House of California

Shannon Morton, Founder of Black Women Lead, has accepted Covenant House California’s challenge to spend a night sleeping on the street. The goal of this event is to raise money for Covenant House California by spending a night on the street, so that homeless youth don’t have to.

The Sleep Out is not about pretending to be homeless. It’s an act of solidarity with the 4.2 million young people who experience homelessness each year. It’s a decision that we can’t stay indoors while so many kids remain outside.

One night can make a difference.

As part of the Sleep Out, Black Women Lead is raising funds and awareness for Covenant House California, a shelter for youth experiencing homelessness and trafficking. Covenant House California offers these young people so much more than a safe place to sleep - they welcome each young person with absolute respect and unconditional love, and their continuum of care provides essential services to help them transition from homelessness to independence.

Help Black Women Lead help young people.

Make a donation in support of Shannon’s Sleep Out by going to this link.

You can watch Shannon participate in the sleep out by tuning into her Instagram live @black_womenlead on November 19th.

Donations will still be open for two weeks following the event! Thanks for your support!
